Drag Racing Career of John Force

Logistics Group International (LGI), Inc., president and CEO Stephen Patrick Day is a Certified Transportation Broker who has led the Houston, Texas-based enterprise since 2002. In addition to his professional pursuits, Stephen Day enjoys following National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Championship Drag Racing.

Only four drivers in NHRA history have at least 100 victories, but none have come close to matching the level of success that John Force has had throughout his 41-year career. Force won 151 drag racing events in the Funny car class from 1987 to 2019. Frank Manzo ranks second all-time with 105 NHRA race victories.

Force made his professional drag racing debut in 1979, and went winless during his first nine years in the NHRA. He won his first race in June 1987 in Montreal, Canada, and recorded his first of 16 season championships in 1990. More impressively, Force won 10 consecutive championships from 1993 to 2002. He won his last season championship in 2013, and recorded his most recent race victory in 2019. After taking a break from racing in 2020, he is returning to the track for the 2021 season. Force is a member of the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America, Texas Motorsports Hall of Fame, California Sports Hall of Fame, and National Motorsports Press Association Hall of Fame.
