Stephen Day is the president and CEO of Logistics Group International (LGI), a third-party logistics company in Houston, Texas. In support of his professional activities, Stephen Patrick Day holds membership of the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA).
The Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association is an international trade organization with over 1400 members across 46 nations. The SC&RA advocates for effective regulation on industry-related matters and provides networking opportunities that help stakeholders operate smoothly across countries.
The SC&RA consists of a board of directors, four primary groups, and various task forces and sub-committees dedicated to specific issues. The board of directors governs the activities of the association and receives reports from the main groups.
The four main groups of the SC&RA include Ladies, Crane & Rigging, Transportation, and Allied Industries. Each group represents the diverse categories of member companies under the SC&RA. Underneath each group there exist task forces, sub-committees, governing and nominating committees. While nominating committee elects members to fill leadership positions from their respective industry sectors, governing committees are responsible for identifying challenges and recommending valuable solutions.
