Stephen Patrick Day serves as the CEO and president of Logistics Group International (LGI) in Houston, Texas. As a certified transportation broker and the president, he oversees heavy haul transportation projects and over-dimensional transport in his company. Stephen Day is also a part of the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA), which helps improve his logistics business.
The mission of the SC&RA is to advocate, educate, and connect logistics industry stakeholders throughout the world to help them operate safely, lawfully, and economically. The organizations assist their members’ businesses by influencing national and state legislation, policies, and regulations. SC&RA accomplishes this through researching and reporting safety problems, and hosting four yearly forums where issues may be addressed and solved.
SC&RA is administered by a Board of Directors and four groups, each of which reports to the Board on its activities. All members of the Board and committees are volunteers from SC&RA member businesses who offer important industry experiences, such as information on how regulatory decisions may affect member companies and current challenges the members face.
